Senator Eric P. Lesser (D-Longmeadow) and Senator Ryan Fattman (R-Webster) today announced a series of roundtables and events as part of the Massachusetts Senate’s Millennial Engagement Initiative.
The bipartisan initiative, co-chaired by Senators Lesser and Fattman, was announced earlier this month by Senate President Stan Rosenberg and aims to encourage more millennials to become involved in the legislative process.
“From Fall River to Holyoke, from Lawrence to Amherst, we are working to develop a sense of what is important to young people, whether it’s affordable housing, student debt or access to transportation,” Senator Lesser said.
“It is my pleasure to announce these upcoming events with Senator Lesser for the Millennial Engagement Initiative. These events are crucial to integrating millennials into the politics of the Commonwealth, and allow us as legislators to build relations with young people and have a better understanding of their viewpoint. Events like these are paramount to implementing legislation and policy that matters to the people of the Commonwealth,” Senator Fattman said.
The following event dates and locations are confirmed:
March 25 5-College Area Roundtable at UMass Amherst (hosted by Senate President Stan Rosenberg and Senator Eric Lesser)
